I'm wondering what the difference is between the New and Older model Sitka Hudson Jackets are. And do the guy's that have them really like them or what don't you like about them.

It's written up as a 'hard' shell, and targeted towards duck hunting, so I have to wonder how quiet it is. For the money it should keep you dry!

New model has insulation in the sleeves and stretchy fabric behind the shoulders. I have the older version and like it for a warm outer layer and waterproof.

Dana it should keep you warm for the money, your right there. And being's it is more of a waterfowl jacket it also might be a little noisey. Guess I better look for a little quieter model for Whitetails. Was just checking them out because I could get a good deal on a used Hudson Jacket. Thanks for your input.

My nephew just got his New Hudson Jacket and compared it to his old model and the newer model seems to be a little bigger than the older one. And they did put the stretchy fabric on the shoulders, other wise I couldn't tell much difference. They did change the fabric on the lower back of the jacket also.
