YARD HOPPERS, HUNT 2
Small Game

I am sure those goose hunters who have to drive lots of miles to the field, place 50-100 decoys out have been up and at them for awhile. I will be leaving by 7 am but only have to drive a mile and only put out 16 decoys.
This morning I will move to the top of the hill and hunt in a natural blind where I can see better, incoming geese. I have not heard much shot gun shooting so that tell me that there are not a ton of geese around. I do know this, if you drive the streets in Ft. Collins, the goose population has grown as they love the grass and yards, ball barks, etc.
Here we go again. Paul
Good luck today. Hope some are willing to land for you and Chase.
Good luck Paul! I enjoy your pictures and adventures. Thank you for taking the time to share them with us.
Hoping Chase gets some exercise this morning >-------->
Yes, thanks for sharing. And good luck!
more geese flying and then flying some more, right over.

Chase gets a treat in spite of no retrieves. No landers or shot opportunities

Do you remember the Carly Simon song, Anticipation? Goes like this--
We can never know about the days to come, But we think about them anyway, And I wounder if I'm really with you now, Or just chasin' after a finer day..................................
Hunting and Anticipation, sort of goes together for sure. Lots of anticipation.
This morning was no different.
Win some, loose some.
You will get them next time!

Correct Jim, the local yard hoppers just are not relating to the areas as in the past. That might change so will just have to wait and see. Will hunt the morning and then not until after January 5. Paul
Good luck - love following these hunts. What pattern /brand camo is that top?
Wayne, I picked up that snow camo suit years ago at Cabela's in the bargain barn Very light weight and fits over bulk clothing. The pattern has some weed pattern but has no brand name. I have not seen this else wheres. I have used it for predator, duck and goose hunting. Here is a picture of the pants. Paul
Good luck next time Paul.
