Another excellent video by South Cox hunting GMU76, Colorado. Not only the up close bugle and subsequent shot within a few feet, but the post shot video of the bull as he comes back after the shot had my jaw on the floor. Unreal!

Damn, that's a long time to hold, with a stickbow!

Well done, great video!

Wow what an experience! Thanks for sharing. Question there were a couple times you took shoots at nothing like around 20:15, what was that about?

Incredible footage.

Great video. Amazing how tough a bull elk can be to take down. I've heard that subtle coughing sound from lung-shot bulls before. They can go a long way in 5 minutes, dead on their feet!

SlipShot, I was wondering about that too. I don't think South ever explained what was happening there.

Did the Full Draw Film Tour video have the post shot footage of the bull? I know his first release didn't show it.

Thanks for posting . Love that hunt and to me that’s what elk hunting is all about !! Hunt

Very nice! That video gets me thinking of my planned 2020 elk hunts.

Nick-They did not have the elk standing after the shot in FD tour. South's elk video got the biggest reaction during the film event I attended.

Loved the video. Absolutely amazing! Less then impressed with the Valkyrie broadhead. Didn't seem like much blood.

Superb video!! Brings back great memories of my 2018 hunt in GMU76. Killed my bull on second morning. Not 5 feet, but 23 yds. for me.

I also thought he held at full draw for a long time. I timed it after replaying a couple of times and South held for 18 seconds. Granted it's a stickbow so no letoff, but under 20 seconds isn't all that long. Prior to actually timing it I would have sworn it was a minute LOL.

That's still a LONG time to hold a stickbow!

I thought that bull was gonna run him over at any moment!

That's a very long time to hold a longbow. I'd be able to do it with my 45lb recurve but no way with my heavier bows.

I get it, that certainly is a long time for a stick bow. I was just explaining that my initial perception was it may have been as much as a minute but in reality it was less than 20 seconds.

Adrenaline certainly helps...but, there's a good chance I would have blown that point-blank shot, after holding 52#, for 18 seconds!

I probably would have been shaking, like a Chihuahua on crack, lol !

It’s a great video. I think I first saw it back in October. I’ve probably watched the short version a hundred times and the whole video about half a dozen times. I like his videos and have been looking to buy one of his bows for a few years now.
