Wyoming Type 1 archery option

Guys, I'm a non-resident to Wyoming and have been focused on a type 9 tag because we love to archery hunt during the rut. Seems I have more options going for a type 1 tag. I'm certain I have read about guys getting a type 1 tag with an archery option allowing them to archery hunt starting Mid-September but then rifle hunt during the rifle season. I'm struggling to find any season dates or detail on WG&F website describing this as an option. Anyone care to provide details on this topic or if this is even an option for a non-resident elk hunter. Thanks

Look at Section 3 , “Special Archery Seasons”, in the Elk Regulations. You’ll find all the information you are looking for. Most special archery seasons run 1-30 September, except in those areas that also have Type 9 licenses. The season is normally 15-30 September in those areas.

I would read the type 1 and 9 regulations closely. The season dates can change depending upon the unit and type of tag.

Once again, read Section 3 of the elk regs. Season dates haven’t changed.
