Anyone draw 2B or 2C and at it this week? The snows in the San Juans should have them pushed down. Anxious to see/hear about this year’s hunts. If you were lucky to draw a tag, you might be in the catbird seat for an exceptional hunt this year.

The southern ute just finished their deer hunts yesterday, the 31st. The snows around arboles and tiffney is only a couple of inches. I drive that road every morning and evening, and see the bucks still around chimney rock and capote lake, crossing highway 160 a lot. Still a lot of deer around the lower piedra. I advised my broth in law to hunt middle mesa just south of tiffany.

We had a very challenging time finding deer. Wasnt until the last day and half things started to pick up and some rutting activity was seen. Was able to take this buck which i was excited about. 73 yard shot and scored 161"
