Torque Seal on Rest/Sight

This morning while doing some practice shooting at 40 yards, my first two shots hit left about 12 to 14 in. The first shot was wearing my glasses. So when the arrow hit left, I blamed it on my glasses. The second shot touch the first Arrow. Obviously something was wrong.
I put my glasses back on and inspected my bow. To my surprise, I found my rest had moved. The only way I would have known this was by using torque seal on my rest and bow sight.
Once dialed in. Marking sight and rest is a good idea, one quick check and ya can tell if it's you or the bow. In the old pse maxi cam days I marked them to for timing
Or you could forget which mark it was.
In aviation maintenance we call it anti-sabotage seal.
Great tip....very clear and obvious, doesn`t require a lot of scrutiny.

I use a white paint pen with the finest tip I can get. And blue locktite.

The bolt did not move. I either stepped on the bow or something bumped it.
As you know when installing a rest, snug is tight, tight is broken, per the OEM.
Even if I knew which line the rest was set, by using torque seal you can precisely know if the rest moved any. Keep it simple.
That bolt is much tighter now. Maybe too tight but darn better not move.
Snug is loose on my bows! Tight ain’t tight enough! I would rather break it on the bench than it move on a hunt!

I can relate to that. In the past I have over tightened bolts and it has distorted the aluminum frame of the component.
You have to be careful using German torque! Gutentight
