Thing that got me was all those cops and cop cars with flashing lights and traffic and the dang thing didn't run away and was aggressive... Too cold for rabies, and I understand its their breeding season, but still...

Attracted by the sirens? I was sitting in my treestand once and a squad car went by by with it’s sirens on, maybe 3/4 miles away and some coyotes lit up

Yeah JTV, am not sure, but I think the virus dies after freezing temperatures, but if it caught the disease before, maybe??? Am not sure how that is, ya never hear of rabies during mid winter here... Maybe somebody that knows more about the disease can help us out? Am guessing they'll probably test for rabies since the officer was bitten, but would like to know the results, but probably won't be made public...

To me, the ironic thing is, the location isn't far from DOW facilities... Hmmm...
