Check out the vid halfway down the article. Really cool but wrong on so many levels. Reminds me of the movie where the old lady was feeding the alligators right up until they ate her.

I actually got paid a visit from a wildlife officer who said they received an "anonymous tip" that I was feeding the deer. Of course, I wasn't, and I invited him to look around my property to verify that. I have no proof, but I suspect it was a disgruntled outfitter in the area who routinely stops on the county road and glasses the deer on my property. One day I'll run into him and ask him face to face, just to see his reaction.

Many people around here feed the deer. Mostly they just put corn out for them. They think they are their pets.

Feeding corn and inviting the deer in for dinner is miles apart.

A commenter to that article posted the below. IMO the CPW officer was over-reacting with his language.
What's the difference between beer nuts and deer nuts?
Beer nuts are $2.25, deer nuts are under a buck.

When I have deer in my house, they are usually done medium rare. They aren't too happy as my invitations weigh about 510 grains.

Scrappy that would sure save money on taxidermy. A full body mount is expensive. No dusting either!

Viral video a few years ago showed a herd of mulies coming right up to the driveway to the shaking of a bucket of feed... Couple of the bucks were some dandies too...

Blonde: "I've been watching that buck in my yard for 5 years!!!"
Cat: "I can open my freezer if you want to see him again."

Xbone I remember that video. Just can't believe people are that clueless of how dangerous that is.
Peco that's funny.

We used to have a woman here in Mendocino county that would feed the bears. She bought dog food by the pallet. She got busted a couple of times but remained undeterred (until they throated to condemn her house and force her to.move). I think that some of her neighbors threatened to sue based on the damage the bears did as they were coming and going.

I used to talk to our Game Warden in the Poconos about the crazy @#%$ people used to do...……………………… He told me about one moron who would get expired pastries from the bakery and put a shower curtain on his living room floor and have a "buffet" for the local nuisance bear when he would see it. Apparently the guy liked to get pictures and video of it eating donuts in his living room. Worked great until he came back from vacation one time to find his front picture window busted out and his house trashed! ;-)
He told me about another genius who would hold a peanut butter sandwich in this mouth and let a bear come up and take it from him (bite it out of his mouth.) Amazing nobody has died around here from doing something stupid like this!
