I bought one for my 13 year old daughter. It was a 4 finger very similar to my 4 finger stan X release. So far, impressed. Not as much adjust-ability for trigger travel or pressure but she likes it. So far probably 500 shots. She is shooting indoor league and we shoot several days a week. No malfunctions yet.

Has anything really changed in thumb trigger releases in 25 years?

Huge difference between single sear and double sear. I'm sure this is single and won't have near the adjustment that the name brands have. Personally, I wouldn't risk punching myself in the face because of a mechanical failure.

Single sear releases don't have a separate cocking mechanism.

My expensive one broke last weekend it was honestly painful enough that I don’t see myself ever attempting a cheap one

No sir but the way that my bow hand reacted to the bow going off at 3/4 draw has my forearm purple from elbow to wrist and it’s still swollen 4 days later.

Had a Truball thumb release that failed and I definitely punched myself in the mouth. Knocked a piece of tooth out, split my lip and made little birdies fly around my head. Couldn't bring myself to use that style again but I just bought a Carter 1st Choice. Hoping better quality means no pain.

If you buy one, be sure to wipe off the corona virus germs before you use it.
