Don’t start packing the truck yet. Some have waaaayyyyy too much confidence in AZ system. 2 yrs ago, I applied for archery elk and pronghorn point saver. Credit card hit for elk tag fee. When the portal info was uploaded, results showed elk unsuccessfull and pronghorn successful for a rifle hunt( after cc was hit for elk tag fee). End result was refund and lame excuse that computer had a glitch.

The last few years, Arizona has consistently began hitting card the day after the published last day to update credit card information. That is now only about 2 1/2 weeks after the application deadline. They're pretty quick now that everything is electronic and they don't have to process paper applications anymore.

They're basically done but will generate a report for bounced cards on Monday/Tuesday then backfill those and be done. Portal should be updated Friday or Monday.

My 1st choice unit went from 30 tags to 15 tags and my 2nd choice unit went from 55 tags to 35 tags.

It’s official.... not drawn. 17 points going in next year. Think I better lower my standards or I’ll never draw a early archery tag. Point creep is killing me !! Used to take 10 points to get this unit .. guess it’s about doubled now.

That's exactly what my thought process was jdee. I had 16 points going in this year as a non resident. I drew 3B, as was almost a sure thing with those points. Between myself and a couple of friends, we have a good deal of experience in this unit. With point creep, it just isn't worth it to me to wait years and years hoping for a more popular unit. That being said, I do have Pointguard, in case I draw something good in another state.

I'm a bit late to post here, I've been laid up recovering from a hip replacement done in late February. I now have some great motivation to rehab with a 3a/c early archery tag.
