Favourite Trail Cam Pics

This never would have been a favourite trail cam pic at the time, but my daughter was 2 at the time, and now she's 6. Man time flies. My screen-saver goes through photos and every now and then I see some gems. Had a lot of trail cam checking days where scent control wasn't optimum but memories sure were.
Great pic and memory as well, Adam!
Some of the best ones aren’t even wildlife related. I’ve got an 8x10 framed pic that I gave to my wife for Christmas. Story behind it was pretty funny, IMO. In the early 2000s, we were still dating and she enjoyed checking trail cams with me. This was when they still used a film canister. I set a camera over a scrape and it faced out into the bean field. I went on a hunting trip somewhere and she asked if she could check cameras while I was gone. Told her that would be fine. Spoke to her on the phone a couple nights later, and she was madder than hops, so I asked her what was wrong.
She pulled the film from the camera, which was full, and got it developed. She had 24 pics of the combine going back and forth, harvesting the beans. I told her it WAS a John Deere, at least. She failed to see the humor in it, even after I got one of the pics blown up and framed.
Cool pic! I have some of those as well with my daughter in them, but none on this computer. I save them if my daughter is on them
I should add, I've been really proud of my 7 year old daughter. Recently she'll have the option on Saturday of heading to the city with my wife to get nails done, or going with me to putter with tree stands and shed hunt. . . . she's been picking outside with me every time :)
We were checking a cam and Lana was being goofy, then a beaver cut the tree down upon return.
T-roy and Embry, Those are some good laughs and great memories there....
Must have been an Amish beaver, Rick. Or, possibly he was just objecting to your tee shirt;-)
Hunter in tree at full draw...Not mine, it’s a friends. IMO it’s the best trail cam pic ever taken...The buck was taken a couple seconds after the photo was taken.
When you think about the different ways/instances the photo could have been taken you get a grasp of odds of the luck needed. Look in the trees
I don't have kids, but have a few cool pictures of me walking the new puppy that will be great later on.
Had camera on deer bone pile after butchering last fall. Hoping to get some good pictures. I got this shot, and 300 pictures of the neighbors dogs.
Native Oakie and I set this camera. Best trail camera pic I’ve ever got
I'd found a dead deer that had been recently killed, drug up under a fallen tree, and covered up. This is the culprit.
Fitting, Ghost "bird". LOL!
Here's one from late December. Sometimes the lighting and everything is just right. I had several run ins with this buck last fall and chose to not shoot him. He should be a dandy this year.
Embry, Is that a ground blind in the center of the photo, that the buck is looking towards?
watched her for 4 or 5 years the one year she never showed again
Jake, no, just a giant oak tree. There's two stands within 100 yards of there although, one on either side of where the buck is walking.
Definitely not my most pleasing but certainly an eye opener. The buck was north of 200 lbs and 5 1/2 years old his carcass was around 50 yards from where the picture was taken. Lewis
Embry, To the left of the huge oak tree, and further back in the woods/brush? Maybe it's just a grassy opening in the woods?
Second day of Colorado's Elk season and two seconds after this bull was shot. Me in the treestand behind on the edge of the meadow. Elk was down 5 seconds later. Paul

That is a special pic, Paul. Hope you made an 8x10 for the wall so you can see it everyday!
Whocares X 2. Cool photo, Paul!!
Posted this earlier this year on the whitetail thread, but figured I would post here again. This is my favorite pic I've got thus far.
I feel grateful to be a hunter. Without hunting, I never would have caught this picture or had the countless other amazing experiences I've had in the outdoors. I pity those timid souls that never leave the city to experience the wild places.
This has to be one of my favorites that isn’t family related
This buck is my white whale. Biggest buck I’ve ever hunted. Have known of him for 4 years. Hunted him for two. Saw him one time in the dark as I walked into a stand.
He’s a ghost. I only got one pic of him in daylight this year. I believe he’s 5 this last year
Hopefully he’s back this fall
I’ve lost a lot of sleep over this deer
Jake, that's an opening on the other side of the strip of timber. Strip of timber is about 40 yards wide. :)
Paul, really cool shot!
Zim, I remember that pic and one of the coolest natural trailcam pics! Love it!
Zim, that pic is almost like a painting! Awesome. But gotta ask, those two bright lights on the right, lighted knocks from 2 clean misses?? :)
Had just pulled cards, and was going through the pics on the computer with my dad. One of the cams was set up at a small pond close to the house. It had been very hot lately, was late August.
As we flip through the pics, here is a pic of my dad naked going into the pond. Luckily it was a backside shot. Oh we laughed very hard. He had forgot the camera was there. I blew that one up, and gave it to him for xmas. He said ma was in the pond too. Glad there was no pics of her. Was very funny.
This one still cracks me up...
Took me awhile to even notice the 2nd bull in this one.
6 different bulls in this one...
This time of year, gotta be hogs...

I passed on this buck the year before. I had him patterned on a trail he was using in november 2015. The property owner asked me to help load some cattle on a truck fir pasture transfer. When the driver of the truck and trailer arrived he said wow some guys down the road was loading a massive antler buck in a truck. I drive down to the area but they were gone. needless to say i never ever got another picture of him or seen him again. a little sad but have no regrets of passing him up the year before, i just hope the hunter who harvested him has great memories.
Pretty cool pic. I’m surprised how clear of a pic this camera took
I wonder how this ended.... my guess is the coyote kept clear.

I love trailcam pics! Here's one where I put my 3d turkey target on a pond dam. It got this shot and of course when I came to retrieve the cam and the target, it was knocked over. I had it on video mode but the coyote was a little too quick for the video to pick it up. The buck video was pretty cool, as 4 bucks were staring down the target.
This is the only daytime pic I had of this buck in 2014.
Every pic after this one was taken at night between the hours of midnight and 3 a.m. I run several cameras and this was the only camera that he walked by and he was always heading in the same direction. Just as he is in this picture.
I had about 2 dozen pics of him until Nov. 3rd and then he just disappeared. I only seen him one day when I was hunting and that was on Oct. 31st. I seen him just shortly after daybreak that day and then I seen him just before sunset.
The last pic I had of this buck was on 11/03/14. One year and 19 days later he just shows up out of nowhere.
No one, at least those that talk, has seen this buck in the previous year. There has been no trail cam pics in my section or the surrounding sections of this buck in over a year.
The date and time are not correct on the pic. Based on the shadows in the pic I estimate this pic was taken between 10 and 11 a.m.
Buck above 2 yrs later, roadkill
Coyote bitch whizzing on my mineral site.
Helluva pic, cn. Pretty neat.
Fantastic thread full of fantastic pictures.

I was hunting a coastal island in GA for hogs last month and was wondering who was making the tracks around camp while we were gone....set up a couple trail cams to find out.

Favorite game pic from last year...
Got many wolf pics on this camera and two others last Fall. Interesting about this one is this wolf and two others with him were staring at me from about 40 yards as I came around the corner. On my way in to switch camera cards and spotted them about 200 yds back twice. They circled downwind and came back around to meet me! Knew I had a picture cuz he was standing in front of the camera looking at me.
Great pic, Chuck! Are they legal to shoot in Minnesota?
No. We had a season for 3 years and the bleeding hearts sued again so now protected for last several years. Supposedly USFWS is taking them off the list end of March again but expect immediate law suits again. Our DNR supports a season but the present governor, a big liberal, says he doesn't support a season. It's too bad folks can sue for any made up reason. The endangered species act is not working as designed. We have been way over goals for years but the greenies keep using the courts to impose their will. They seem to be able to pick the judge that agrees with them. Malloy seems to be the judge in their pocket on the wolf issue.
One of my all time favorites.
My wife’s buck on 30-06 impact last year
Here’s another one. I guess I have lots of favorites:)

This is a pic we got of what we believe is a wolf. Taken in ne Oregon the fall before Oregon officially announced a wolf in Oregon (the biologists at the time weren’t 100% sure or didn’t want to admit to it). Turns out the first Oregon wolf had the same colors and found on the exact ridge where the picture was taken.
It took me a minute to figure out what the heck was going on here :0...a Badger rolling in the dirt hahaha...4finger
