Anyone using Widowmaker broadheads? The 125gr two-blade appear to be bomb-proof...

Yes. We used them on our Aussie hunt. My brother used 125gr 2 blades and used the 175gr 2 blades. Both solids. They were very good heads, but required the buyer putting on their own edge. To go again I’d use the 175 gr!

Dino, So is it necessary to sharpen the heads before hunting with them? I need to stay with 125gr heads. I'll only be hunting deer with them.

Yes. They do not come with a sharpened edge. I used a Lansky and they shaved hair in no time!

Mick is a good guy, and a friend of mine, and I do think they are pretty good heads. If I lived in Australia I would certainly consider shooting them. But with the plethora of high quality Broadhead choices we have now it seems like just a lot of hassle to get them here. Just my 2 cents.

I contacted Mick & getting the broadheads is very easy. You decide what heads you want, Mick emails you an invoice & you pay him via PayPay.. PayPay will make the conversion from Aussie dollars to US$. Very easy process....

The 250 gr solid looks pretty good. Also the 215 grain head. Good approach angles for penetration. At the current exchange rate, his stuff is cheap, even with shipping.

They look like VAP and Stinger Solids. What’s the difference?

I just ordered Mick's 3-bld 125gr solids. A three-pack to my door was only $41.50 USD. Mick is great to work with...
