Took these critters in the Luangwa Valley Zambia. Pretty excited about this mount.
That may be the best "residential / personal" taxidermy scene I've ever seen.
Great looking leopard
Any trouble getting the Hyena into US
That’s really an attention getter!
That the cleanest most well groomed hyena I have ever seen . I bet it doesn’t smell either. There just foul nasty critters.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Don’t see many hyena that well done. Often messed up badly. Great work
You sir have been living the dream, kudos to your taxidermist & you obviously have a very understanding wife.
Well, that is surely special. Nicely done both hunt and artest. my best, Paul
That is just outstanding. All of them look so nice.
Christmas in March. Awesome. Forrest
That is a fantastic piece of art. Nicely done. Congrats on some super trophies.
Spiral. Very nice mount
Were you able to take the Leopard and Hyena with your bow?
Everything taken with an arrow.
No doubt, that is incredible. Lucky guy to have that to remember your hunt by. Very cool!!
How did you hunt the hyena?
very nice a scene that has happen a few times in the wild I am sure. All bow trophys to is amazing. Who did you hunt with if I may ask? was is Ph middleton
Beautiful mount, from design, layout, and attention to detail from top to bottom. Very nice!
My Heck!!
That is so kool looking
Congrats,
Robb
The inspiration for this mount - on day seven about an hour before dark this leopard and a hyena had a face-off at the base of our tree. ~30 minutes later my 125gr QAD Exodus found its mark. Been on adventures covering six continents - this one was truly special, in the breathtaking beauty of an isolated region of Wild Africa, in an area known as “the Valley of the Leopards.”
This was my fourth Leopard Hunt. I’m certain bigpizzaman can relate. Came within a whisker on hunts 2 & 3, but no dice. Taking a Leopard with an arrow is pretty much like hunting an actual ghost, and then after 44 days in a blind, suddenly there he was.
Wow leopard and Hyena with a bow has to be a rare trophy.
Just stunning! No wonder you’re excited!!! Obviously did your research on a good taxidermist to have the cat and hyena come out so good. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
That mount tells a story ! The hunter in the tree and the scavenger on the ground, each wanting a morsel of flesh. Just a great scene Spiral !
Edit: I just showed this to my wife and said this scene tells a story. Her reply, “Yep, you want it and I have it !” :-)
Ken,
Absolutely beautiful mount, “my hats off to you” excellent accomplishment.
You have an outstanding taxidermy artist! Thanks for sharing.
Love it Ken...Beautiful piece.
Really like the eye contact between the cat and dog.
Very nice!!!! That piece will bring back memories for ever!!! Congrats!
As all have said that is a fine piece of taxidermy work and great composition. I assume that is an Oribi hanging as the prize? Pretty good one too. Congrats on what appears to be a very memorable hunt experience.
Yep, that’s an Oribi. Debated using my Puku as that would clearly identify Zambia, but its size might distract from the theme. As it is the Oribi turned out to be a great choice.
