Hunted West Texas this past week and managed to kill this old loner ram. He was limping when I first saw him and found the reason when he was skinned out. He had a broadhead berried in his left front leg bone. We had to bust the bone to get it out. The skin had healed over and the flesh around the head was grey and smelly. He weighed 243 pounds and while I haven't measured him yet, I think he will be 30 inches long. After being in the freezer for 48 hours I thawed to cape and found live ticks!! Back in the freezer! I have seen a bunch of critters but none with the number of ticks this guy has. Great time with one of my grandsons hunting with Bisch on the London Oaks Ranch.
Congrats. That is a bucket list animal for sure and with a bow even better
