I had to turn in my tag for health reasons in 2019. Supposedly my carry over license will be mailed in April and needs to be returned by May 15. I know this is super common, but by chance, is anyone else in this situation and have you received your application yet?

I just called Cheyenne. For anyone else that might be in this situation, they will be mailed out tomorrow or early next week.

Why would this be closed? No mention of COVID.
Whoops.

Was this an ARCHERY tag?
Hoping to save the thread for the benefit of others in the same boat.

Mark is all bowhunting all the time. I predict a great hunt for my friend and a dead bull in Wyoming. He deserves it more than anyone I know.

I do know that about Mark. Was just trying to throw the thread a life preserver.

I had a season ending surgery a couple years ago, after I had drawn in WY, and they refunded my tag cost, and reinstated my points. I then applied again the following year. They made the situation good, just sounds a little different handling than what you are saying

pirogue, I know of at least 3 people that have gotten their tag pushed out to the following year due to various reasons. One guy got his tag pushed to the following year because his wife cut her hand bad and he had to cancel his hunt in order to help with the kids.
Was a refund and reinstating your points the only option they gave you?

They've been good to all but one that I know of; she broke her leg and they said tough luck.

Piroque,
You have either option, a refund and points reinstated or they hold a tag the following year for you. I received a letter last year saying mine was approved I'm just waiting for the paperwork to come in the mail. I'll be bowhunting and this is a type 1 tag so in theory I could also rifle hunt.
Nick, I appreciate the good juju. I need it.
Now if I could just kill a turkey on this cold and dreary spring morning.....

I turned back an archery draw elk tag for 2018. We took Mom into our home for hospice care. Wyoming was understanding and send my fees back and reinstated my points.

Sounds like a good policy that WY. has with their refund and reinstating points policy. I've had to choose points or refund from Colorado and had to eat an Arizona elk tag once due to illness and that one really didn't taste good. Hope things work out for you.
