Monday morning.
Monday morning.
We got about 2' on the last storm, (Sunday through Monday). And about 14" last night with no end in sight. Also lost power at about 3:45AM for 4 hours. Happy we made good use of the 60º, sunny opening day. ;-)

We escaped the last 6" snowfall the other day. We're about 40 miles north of the snow line. My last snow drift pile melted away last Saturday.
My son tagged out yesterday morning just after sun-up. A nice tom flew down right on top of his decoy set. His father-in-law tagged out yesterday afternoon. Both hunting along the east side of Big Stone Lake, MN. The lake was froze over again yesterday morning, brrr.

I just finished a week of turkey hunting in southwestern Virginia. It was about 30 degrees each day to start and only went up to upper 40's. I only heard 2 gobbles the entire week. I saw 2 hens for a week of hunting. Last year when it was in the 40's to start the day the woods were alive with turkeys gobblings and birds singing. Not a bird anywhere I went was seen in a field or pasture. Of course my 30 degrees here may seem like the Caribbean compared to you.

From January, 2000:
"According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”.
“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said.
Good to know.

Today is our "Youth Day" hunt here in NJ, it is raining and cold. They had 2" of snow just a bit north of us. Tomorrow is supposed to warm up and be in the mid to upper 50's. Monday starts the first full week of hunting, hopefully the change of weather will have the birds working well.

Wkochevar, East Anglia is the repository and brain-center for virtually all "climate change" research. You should care, because many government policies that do or will affect you are generated from the biased, deeply-flawed climate models produced there by idiots like David Viner. It is where "Climategate" originated, showing how Left-wing "scientists" cherry-picked data to produce studies with predetermined outcomes that the Green New Deal revolves around.
