Beer bottle question
Not bowhunting related at all, but I figured someone here might know the answer. Plus, a beer or two at the end of the night is an important part of a hunt with buddies for me! :)
A friend found this bottle at her farm. I looks to me to be an old beer bottle. Does the logo mean anything to anyone? Any clue about this logo or what might have been in the bottle in its day?
The image is showing up all distorted on my computer- are others seeing it this way too? Weird...
Scoot - here’s my guess. Was less than $5 for a case of longnecks when I was in college:)
I’m with Buckeye - it was less than $5 for a case of longnecks when I was in college:)
Yes it’s distorted. The first thing that popped in my mind was Hamm’s beer lol. Beer of choice in my small town watering hole in the late 70s.
Sorry for the double post.
From the land of sky blue waters!
Wow I can't believe the mods let this slide by. This is BOWsite people...!! /s
When I worked construction we found Hamms for $5 a case with a three dollar rebate but limit of one per person. We bought 10 cases and all of the rebates came in the mail with different names. Our secretary came out to the shop with all of them and said "when 90 percent of your incoming mail is Hamms rebates........... you might be a redneck!"
I honestly don't believe that is a Hamms bottle though.
Pic isn't very good, but I think this is the one. Symbol looks the same.
Thanks guys! Nick, does that bottle have an H in the middle of two horse-like creatures? I can't see it very well in the pic.
When I was in college we always had a case of Hamm's longnecks in the refrigerator and one on reserve. Take a beer, put a quarter in the cup. When the beer was gone whoever went to get a fresh case got the extra buck.
Scoot, give it up bud, they are NOT going to give you the $0.05 deposit back on that one!
Beer, bottles and bows.....works for me!
Yup, definitely hunting related. Yooper, you need to go have a beer :)
If it's a Kiewel's bottle, it's worth a lot of cash. But with the H on there, I don't think it is. Kiewels was brewed in Little Falls MN a long time ago.
I'm not sure Scoot, but it looks to me like the picture was taken on a post-form laminate countertop, and if she wants to upgrade to granite I can definitely help her with that.
APauls, this isn't about countertops- it's about bowhunting obviously! Please keep this on task!
Scoot, I can see it but it's blurry.
Thanks Nick! I think I see it. I have to close one eye, squint the other, and turn my head 30 degrees to the right, but I see it!!! :)
99 bottles of beer on the wall, take one down, pass it around ,98 bottles of beer
Slam a 6-pak of Hamms and it will come in MUCH clearer!
^^^^^ I’m thinking that’s why it’s blurry in the first place!
I don't thinks it Hamms. I Googled Hamms logo and none showed a "H" in it.
How do you know it's a beer bottle?
What is the location? There were a lot of small beer & pop makers. If we knew what area it would help.
Scoot, send a pic to these guys and see what they say...at my link.
