I did a new gig with my receiver rack for this trip.
My Shell has been in San Diego Harbor since late February with all the C-19 Chit!
So a guy has to modify his options
I certainly Learned while employed hauling Explosives to double secure a load.
So I am a net cover type guy.
No doubt someone behind me is thankful!!
I made it to my Airbnb Cabin
I made it to my Airbnb Cabin
I had commitments in Etna, Wyoming during this week so I just wanted to include a Photo/Scouting trip for the 2 folks I'm helping out on this hard to draw Bull Moose Tag.
I knew going, that it was to be a Weather type trip but What the hey.....
Very Comfy
Very Comfy
I was the first of 2020 to visit with all the restrictions before hand via C-19
Ya gotta luv a fireplace and nice size TV!
I'm on the West Side of the Valley, actually closer to Idaho Diamond Creek Zone/76-66a Bow Elk Unit.
Great Relaxing Deck W/BBQ
Love that area! Was there this time last year. Enjoy and be safe. Jim
What a Deck View into Wyo LQ 91 to the right and LQ 88 to the left
Plus a great archery range into the pasture when the Mules/Horses fed away
Early the Next Morning-----
Rained all night...
I knew I was going to be limited on my driving deep into this area
Even with my JP Gladiator, I am no DumbAzz to get myself stuck and buried in the Wyoming muddy road....mid week, No one else around to help if I got Western~~sideways
Better to Try than to give Up!!
My kind of cabin, Robb. Should sell my house and downsize in to something like that. Just need a good tv so I can watch my Gophers whup Iowa and Wisc! And a supply of vodka and smoking loon wine! Looking forward to another good report from you.
When I got to a point on this FS road that any other tire tracks ended and I got to a big snowdrift with Down trees in it------
I did my best to get turned around (sorry no Balls to take a Pic!) I backtracked and parked then just decided to bushwack hiking into new terrain......
I always carry my AR-15 when I'm in a Wyo Predator Zone for maybe a chance meeting with a Wolf or a …..?
Eberlestock Gunrunner Pack
Super muggy and wet in the air like I was back in England @ Upper Heyford RAF Base just chilled to the bone even after hiking/sweating in the wet muddy soil that puts 1-2 inches of mud on a guys boots!
I've added a 3.5lbs Seat for when taking a break and a 1.5lbs Umbrella....for the drizzle.....
I forgot to do my Administrative gig ~~
Wyo Moose 26
Wolf Predator Zone
G Deer/135
Sheep 25-ish/more to the North

For under $100 a night with better weekly Rate$ this Airbnb stand alone cabin was a great find.
A guy could hunt the Idaho 76/66a one day and then the Wyo Gen tag the next day.
Same gig for Moose or Mule deer-------->
Perfect location for that option.
And More Elk!
And More Elk!
I luv the use of my iPhone XR but over 50 yards and the zoom is fuzzy......
Day 2 started out with heavy wet snow coming down strong!
Nah, I 'aint' going up this FS soggy road!
Damn them weather guesser's when they are spot on! haha
That wraps it up for today.
I gotta get a hike in, groceries, lawn work ect…...Yeh, the Exciting life of a Bachelor------>
I'll finish in the morning.

My home away from home. I grew up in Etna Pa so I’ve shared a picture of the Etna Wyoming sign with old friends. They laugh at the population number. Smiths Fork Road is a rutty sob in places. I wouldn’t think you could get beyond Sheep Pass and the ridge at this time of year. I got stuck up there once in a rental car. Then when heading to LaBarge I came to a spot where the road was closed because they were putting a new pipe under the road at Coyote Creek. I drove it through the creek and did some minor damage. It was almost dark and way too far to turn around and go back and around through Cokeville and Kemmerer. I didn’t have the insurance and still can’t believe I never got a call after I returned it. Back east they would have freaked out but as you know it’s a different world in western Wyoming.
I talk to Gary Fralick the biologist for that area pretty much every week. Along with Randy Newburg I tuned in to an online meeting on Friday about the extensive mule deer studies in that area. This winter wasn’t to extreme and game animals should be in pretty good shape this year. Good luck to your friend with the moose tag and of course to you Robb in whatever ventures you get into this year. Thanks for sharing the pictures too. Just reading about that neck of the woods gives me a warm fuzzy feeling!
Robb The Wagon Well restaurant in Thayne had the best breakfast we found in the area. Not sure what’s open out there, but it’s worth stopping by. Home cooking at its best and reasonable prices.
Robb good luck on your elk tag I like that area up there. J. C.
Thanks Fella's
Memories right there Joe!
So Not Available issues earlier this morning on the BS, so I'm running late...…
Just some This-n-That to close this out....
Enjoy,
Robb
Raining off and on so I would prep inside the Cabin for leaving in the early morning and then load between storms
Posting isn't going very Smooth this morning!
Fuel Prices quite nice
When I got home I had a nice $1,200.00 $urprise!
I was content with my MPG average even with some 4 x 4 wheeling
Hopefully the Pix will show up some time today------->
I found a new area to chase elk in a different elk unit than normal so that was a big Plus!!

PS ~~ Junes Photo/Scouting thread will be of my Utah LE Bow Bull Unit I drew...
Since you aren’t able to get over Commissary I have a pretty good idea where your new unit is. It’s all good around there. Just gotta find the spot on the spot. Safe travels and best of luck in Utah.
Been a few years since I poked around in that country.
My favorite part of Wyoming!
Wanted to relocate there after the Peru gig but ended up back in Colorado...Damnit!
Need to start pushing the wife for the move again...
Well, in order but not in the verbiage post! haha
Thanks----> I think I've answered all the Private questions
Good luck, Robb
