For the guys that didn’t draw their unit, does that mean that you didn’t draw an adjacent unit as well? I figure everyone knows that you can hunt an adjacent unit of the tag that you have.

Yes, you can apply for up to 4 choices and add an adjacent unit onto each one. When your name is drawn all 4 choices are weighed before moving on to the next applicant. Playing the game correctly it’s very hard not to draw.

My buddy still has not received an email and all the portal says is “active”.

KB, but it can be done, first time since 1999 I won’t be in KS w bow in hand! All 3 of my buddy’s drew applying w same unit choices and additional units. Won’t complain! Blessed with a goodun last year. I’ll be pulling for y’all!

Thanks Pat. Did your buddy get the confirmation email?. I have a friend who tried drawing 14 and had the same thing happen to him. Now today he says it says unsuccessful.

Kansas hunting has declined too much, and they've become too proud of their deer for my tastes, so I didn't even bother to apply. Just not worth it for me, anymore.
