My ears can't tell any advantage to a string silencer now that bows all have string stops.

Nothing. Just a good string and proper brace height.... bows shoot great without... at least my silver tip does

I’m with xman. Haven’t used string silencer in years once y now had a good string stop. Add a decent weight arrow and it’s far quieter than anything I shot 10+ years ago.

I shoot recurves and really like cat whiskers, especially in wet or damp conditions. However, puffs seem to do a tad bit better job in helping to keep my bows quiet.
