Not sure; with that one hoof up, he looks like he might be ready to jump the string....
A deer is a deer. That’s a nice one. What’s to wonder about?

Nope. Rack is lop sided. No brow tines. Really not that big and pretty tame it seems
But......lots would.

That buck was nicknamed "Majik" and that photograph was from 2006. Apparently he was found dead of natural causes shortly after the 2006 season. His head is mounted in the CPW office in Meeker.

Thanks for that GG. Any idea how old he was? Was his coloring from a mutation? Really neat.

No idea how old he was, but judging by his body size, I'd guess he was at least 4-5 years old, maybe older.
I'm also not sure what caused his albino coloration. But I have heard rumors that several other albino deer have been spotted over the years, in the same general area, since Majik passed.

Just for reference, what is approximate score on antlers like that? It is a cool looking genetic abnormality.

160"-ish. He's thin-horned, has short fronts on the left, no brow tines, and he's not very wide. Decent buck, but his antlers aren't what make him a special, IMO.

The antlers definitely aren't special, but everything else......heck yeah....I'd shoot him in a heart beat.

In some states it is not legal to take an albino or piebald animal.

He's a heck of a lot rarer than any 200" buck. If I had a big ranch he was on, he'd live until he died of natural causes. If it was on public property and legal to take, heck yes. Spring for the full body mount to boot. I'd wait until he looked away though.
