Im taking my best friend on his first elk hunt in unit 62 in colorado during the first rifle season. I have no experience in that area, but I have heard it is heavily pressured. I would greatly appreciate any information that could help my friend harvest his first bull elk!

The pressure is mainly centered off of the divide road. Like many areas, you need to get in the places nobody else wants to go. There are some hell hole canyons that hold elk that get almost no pressure. Not too bad getting down in there but getting out is a completely different story, especially if you are carrying an elk out on your back.
