Get'em while ya can....pretty cool res's can buy the leftover NR tags if they don't sell out. That would mean two elk or deer tags for res's.

Nonresident Idaho elk, deer tags selling fast

NewsEngine | June 13, 2020 |

Projected sell out dates are July 1 for elk and Aug. 1 for deer

Nonresident hunters planning to hunt elk or deer in Idaho in 2020 may want to buy a tag soon because nonresident tags are likely to sell out earlier than last year.

Fish and Game projections based on current sales rates show nonresident 2020 elk tags could sell out by July 1 and deer tags (including white-tailed deer tags) by August 1. Those dates are based on current sales, and actual sell-out dates could be sooner if sales increase.

To see the current availability of nonresident tags, go to the nonresident tag quota webpage.

Nonresident over-the-counter general hunt tags are limited to:

12,815 elk tags

14,000 regular and white-tailed deer tags

1,500 nonresident white-tailed deer tags, which are available when the regular/white-tailed tags sell out.

Fish and Game has sold out nonresident tags for years, and sell out dates have been getting earlier for several years. Idaho resident deer and elk tags are not limited by a quota.
