DIY Euro Pedestal Mount

So after our hunt in New Mexico last year being successful. And then dad filling a tag. I wanted to do something special for him. I dabble with making euro mounts on white tails. And dad wanted his bull turned into a euro on a pedestal. I came up with an idea. And luckily my second job allows me access to some wood engraving tools. The base was meant to be just 1 2” piece off a tree trunk. Unfortunately what I had didn’t have a big enough diameter to support it all and since it was already engraved. I just cut another slice and attached below. I wanted the engraved part to be dark and the slab lighter, but unfortunately turned out darker and very had to see in the pics. Anyways. What do ya think? I think it turned out ok.
