Never had a pelican. I and two friends have SKB. We’ve been to Alaska, Canada, and Africa multiple time with zero bow case issues.

Got both. Pelican might be a tad heavier.

I have the SKB double bow case. Bulletproof and holds plenty.

Only SKB experience here but completely happy with the purchase and would go the same route again. GL.
Was recommended to me here on BS.

Another SKB fan - have both single and double. Imo, single handles pretty much all practical uses. Bought the double for my boys’ gear (much larger capacity) and planning to try it out myself once the border reopens. Pricey, but well worth it imo.

Unless I'm missing something the skb is about double in price over the pelican.

Have never used a Pelican, but have taken my SKB to Alaska, South Africa, and Mexico without any issues.

The guys that hunt all over, you might want to mention the name of the SKB case that is airline approved. Not all of them are, I believe?

I would recommend and have a SKB. Does Pelican offer the same warranty & travel amenities that SKB offers on their cases? See attached link.

This one has wheels and is lockable.
