I’ve decided to go with the Kennetrek Mountain Extremes...insulated or non insulated for a late September Brooks Range caribou hunt? Thanks!

My 400s give me blisters in September because my feet sweat

I have to use non-insulated boots because my feet run so hot. The bright side is that my feet rarely get cold during inclement weather. If you expect warm temps, combined with a great deal of walking, you may be better served without the insulation. Good luck.

Always non-insulated, if your feet are cold you're not working hard enough :)

I've spent quite a bit of time in the Brooks and late September can be very ugly. The first time I was up there we got 5" of snow. It was the 8th of August.
I think I'd rather have sweaty feet some of the time than have frozen toes. On one of my unsuccessful tries for sheep with my longbow it snowed about 10" before I got there. when I quit after 8 days a lot of the snow was still there.
