I finished this season's arrows over the weekend. I got the shafts from Forrester Wood Shafts. I ordered a dozen mahogany and Kevin threw in four aspen shafts for me to try out. I'm quite happy with the end result. I flame crested and stained them and then my wife accented the cresting with paint. They are sealed with several coats of polyurethane and tipped with 190 grain field points and 190 grain Meatheads. The average finished arrow weight is around 660 grains. Now I just need the season to open. Come on September 15th!

I'd stress out shooting those after putting that much effort into building them. Nice looking!

Darren, those arrows are definently a "labor" of love... the irony of it as I see is your last name... priceless!
