Brad, you are so correct. Instead of sliced meat for jerky, I also use the shooter with ground meat. More consistent and easier to chew.

Ground venison marinated overnight in spiked up Hi Mountain seasoning. Rolled out flat to about 1/4", sliced in 1-1/2" strips, and dehydrated.
