My wife shot a great bear this past weekend and is looking examples of pedestal mounts and 1/2 mounts. Any pictures and names of forms used for the mount would be appreciated.

Buddy of mine has a really neat one. Half body mount with an aspen trunk and a big wasp nest that the bear is pawing at. Don’t have a picture but it’s really neat.

Might want to ask your taxidermist for pics that he has done over the years. One, you see the quality of his work and two she can see all the different mounts. I like half body mounts, but, I think a rug that can be used is a nice way to go.

Half wall mount. I'm heading to the UP next week for the last season and maybe some deer hunting too.

Imperial Taxidermy in Caldwell, Id. just got me my 1/2 life size back last week to me and I love it. 19 12/16" P&Y. I believe the form was Research Mannikins. My whole family loves it.

Go look at the Safari Room taxidermy in Medford Wisconsin. Husband wife team who do awesome work. Did a pedestal wall mount bear for me and a fantastic elk pedestal.
