Check this guy out.... he showed up about 10 days ago. I'm wondering if hes "genetically " non typ, or just a buck thag messed up his antlers somewhere along the way. I have nothing else earth shattering on camera. I named him Jester.

I’d guess negative 6 (net)! Goofy lookin rascal, for sure. It would be interesting to see if he carries those traits in subsequent years. Might turn into a real freak.

Good choice on the name!

Looks like his mother dropped him on his head… And then sat on it.

He's pretty darn neat!

Could a mangled set of testicles cause that? (serious question)

I think those bucks with ball issues normally stay in velvet? I'm really hoping to see him in person, from a treestand.

Usually, the castration-related malformities are the “cactus bucks”, as I recall.

No telling what messed this guy up from just a couple of pics - not for me, anyway. But I do agree that he could actually be pretty cool-looking in a few more years. Or you could eat him now. Won’t alter the trajectory of the species either way.

Looking at his body size, 2-1/2 maybe 3-1/2 years old. Probably never be huge in antler size, but never know for sure. Eat him if he shows up in front of you, he’ll make a good conversation piece.

I love those deformed antlered bucks. I give them a nickname and keep my eyes on their progress. As far as score, too many deductions for a score that describes the amount of total antler, it's just not measurable by the standard measuring rules. But as far as character...he's trophy. Let him live and see...

Thanks for sharing.

For some reason I think he’s a doe.

I agree about the score... truthfully, I don't care. Just wanted to share some pics. I think if he hasn't broken anything off, and steps in front of me... I'll probably shoot. I let a freak buck walk years ago.... never saw him again. This guy's no whopper, but he's unique, and you don't see that every day.

Boy, be nice to see if he makes it a couple years... I luv character racks...

I say 2.5 and would let him go for a couple years, he may become a giant freaky non-typical or he could end up more typical. Shawn

My guess is it’s a doe, also.

Are you any where near oil wells? May be a drinker?

What makes some of you think that is a doe? Looks like a very young deer. If you are in area you think he could make it another 2-3 years he could be a gnarly non typical!

I like “Jenner” for a last name. Jester Jenner...You can call him JJ for short.
