Elk

My friend recently killed an elk for his 200th Pope and Young animal, very fitting since elk are his favorite animal to hunt. Congrats Chuck!
Incredible, hats off to him!
Roger Raglin has over 200 whitetails
Congrats to Chuck. I’m not an inches guy, never measured an animal and for sure have several species over minimum. But if that’s your thing, I’m happy for you.
Still filling the freezer every year, that's nice to see.
Impressive to have that much dedication and drive over many decades. Congrats Chuck!
Congratulations to Chuck. A solid hunter, someone I look up to.
Nice to see Chuck out there, still slaying bulls!
Good job chuck. You are an ambassador of the highest order. Thanks for what you have done for the sport.
Thanks for the insight in what motivates you dale
200 animals with a bow is quite a feat. 200 animals that have made P&Y's records officially is just incredible.
Surely an amazing feat. His consistency and drive for many decades to be a successful archer are inspiring.
That’s awesome! Congratulations, Chuck!
Outstanding achievement....the man is a legend!
Incredible,,, I only got like 194 to go.
Fantastic achievement! Would love to know which hunts provided his fondest memories.
Congratulations Mr. Adams!!!
Incredible dedication! I am sure he has his haters...I for one am NOT! Congrats!
That guy loves bow-hunting. He's also a fine ambassador to our sport. Congrats to him on the incredible milestone.
Wouldn't surprise me if Frank Noska is the next guy to do it. A quick check of the new records database shows he has 166 right now.
Phenomenal achievement. Congrats Chuck.
I'm only 199 animals behind him!
Well.....he IS Chuck Adams ! Congrats Mr. Adams !
Congrats to Chuck, talk about living the dream.
Congrats!!! I remember being in Grade 8 or 9 and needing to do a project on a famous person. I chose Chuck Adams. I doubt my teacher had ever heard of him before, but I still got a good mark ;)
Incredible achievement. Congrats to Chuck!
Wow, don't think Chuck has slowed down at all! Old guys getting it done!
He has not slowed down much at all. Spiral Horn - his elk hunts are his favorite memories.
Where does he go from here?
Chucks the man, no governors tags and probably hardly guided.
That’s AMAZING! Well done Chuck!
Doesn't surprise me at all........he's as automatic as they come.....and had been for centuries.
Hard to comprehend that. That is an amazing accomplishment.
Chuck probably lurks here now and then... I wish he would join in! He is a great and humble guy and a great ambassador for bow hunting and archery all around!!
Great accomplishment Chuck!!! Congratulations Sir!!!
I am only 200 animals away, but I have never measured one... and probably never killed one! HA!
I am a meat eater!! Wait... Not "The Meat Eater"... different guy altogether! LOL!
Yeah I don’t even think I killed 200 mosquitoes in my life.
Makes me SMILE! Congrats chuck!
Surely an amazing feat. His consistency and drive for many decades to be a successful archer are inspiring.
Some Legends just keep on being Legends!
And he still has the very first Slam in my mind. Think I’ll go put on my toque ( Canadian edition watch cap) and read a few chapters about it.
The cost and I do not mean money, the dedication, the perseverance are all incredible. Congratulations Mr. Adams
Way too go Chuck. You're a great ambassador to the hunting world forever ! Congratulations sir ,
Chucks an old school bowhunter. And a conservative.
200 critters is impressive. 200 of them that make book, is incredible. Congrats Chuck!
Outstanding.... congratulations Chuck. Ed F
Congrats Chuck! Not sure if he’s been doing it for centuries BOHNTR but he’s been doing it a long time!
Has anyone else killed over 200 big game animals with the bow? I’m talking about not only P&Y animals. Is there anyone who is not nationally recognized that’s done it, Congrats to Chuck! Truly a bowhunting legend. Can’t imagine the amount of time and money it took to do it.
An amazing accomplishment. From what I’ve heard from a couple of guys, he’s a great guy.
I hope he continues enjoying his sport and time afield and I look forward to notification that he’s surpassed 250.
Hearty congratulations Mr Adams!!!
Tremendous accomplishment !! Congrats !!
Congrats Chuck! Well done!
Mentioning Chuck and Raglin in the same post is sacrilege. A good percentage of Roger’s Whitetails are high fence kills.
A true Dream for a dedicated bow hunter, congrats Chuck!
Absolutely an amazing accomplishment.........congratulations!!
Congrats Chuck awesome achievement!
He has always been a Legend in our bow hunting community.
Congrats Mr. Adams,
Robb
Congratulations Mr. Adams! Glad you're still out there doing what you love.
I've only got 198 to go to catch up! Better get going! Congrats to Chuck!
Truly amazing... 4 P & Y critters for 50 years, 5 for 40 years, 6-7 for 30 years, 8 for 25 years! Hard to comprehend those numbers! Congratulations to someone that really knows how to get it done!
Congrats Mr. Adams!!!! Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for the sport of archery!!!!
Does what he likes to do. And doesn't make chest thumping self back slapping big deal about it . That big smile will never go away no matter what. Life is good Chuck . CONGRATULATIONS !!!

And to think most of those were killed with a longer more forgiving bow, round wheel cams, tie-dyed pants, flannel shirt and fingers release. Truly the world`s greatest bowhunter.
As Chuck would likely admit himself, records are set to be broken. Will be interesting watching others chase after him. What an incredible accomplishment!
One helluva an accomplishment !
Hats off to your dedication and success Chuck, second to none. And a really nice person who I met once at a sportsman show, who presented me with a signed pic of his Kodiak bear kill.. Still have it! I think that bear was one of the 200....
An almost unfathomable accomplishment. Congrats Chuck and best of luck on the next 100!
Very impressive indeed! Congrats.
There are guys that hunt with a bow, then there are bowhunters. Chuck is a bowhunter.
An amazing feat. Congratulations to a great bowhunter.
Congratulations on an amazing achievement!
Impressive accomplishment indeed. I think I can hear Noska tuning up some broadheads now.
Franklin Nailed it!!!! And the hat... Don't forget the hat!!!
Really nice guy. Back in the 80s I had the pleasure of having booths at sports shows next to Chuck. Harrisburg / monroeville PA/ ohio.
I really enjoyed just talking with him. Even back then I knew he was driven
I'm really glad for him
Wow, I'm 57 and he was my inspiration to bowhunt long ago.
Chuck great job on the 200 P&Y animals you have taken. I grew up taking your advice and it has forged my bowhunting passion to this day, thank you Chuck Adams.
TrapperKayak I believe that bear was a world record?
My friend let me borrow the 3rd Edition of Bowhunter's Digest by Chuck. Read that thing front to back probably 5 times. I was hooked on bowhunting from then on. Even got Chuck to sign the book for me in 2002. Congrats Chuck. Keep inspiring.
Spike78, I think so, the thing is enormous. If I find the pic, I'll post a scan of it. (My 1st comment in the undies thread would qualify there).
Yes, Chuck taught me how to bow hunt through his books! He has some very impressive trophies, several former world records.
Trapper I was a teenager when that photo came out I’m now 42 and I remember it like it was yesterday. Could probably still describe it!
Ron, curious how many critters Chuck has taken that did not quite make P&Y on top of the 200 entries?
Congratulations to Mr. Adams, hell of an accomplishment.
Hello, Chuck Adams here. My thanks to all of you for your kind comments! I hope everyone enjoys bowhunting as much as I do. It's really not the numbers that count--it's the super fun along the way. Good hunting this fall!
For anyone wondering, yes, that really is Chuck. Happy to have you on Bowsite Chuck!
Congrats Chuck, nice to see you on here!
Great accomplishment, congrats for-sure.
Bowhunting legend!!!!!! Cool to be on this site
Hello Chuck. I want to personally congratulate you on your 200th P&Y animal. And yes, I completely agree that the real trophies are all of the fun, work, hardships, sacrifices, ups and downs, highs and lows, that this amount of bowhunting represents. These memories are priceless. It is about all of the far away places we travel to, cultures experienced, people met, and friends made. I enjoy bowhunting as much as you do. I admired and looked up to you when I first began my own lifetime journey of bowhunting, many years ago, and I still do.
Good job, you can visit this
site.
And look at the people popping up!!!
Congratulations Again Chuck!!!!
Incredible for sure. One in a million.
A young guy sent me a Hoyt podcast with Chuck. Really enjoyed it and thought he did very well. Worth a listen.
Hard to imagine , very impressive accomplishing that! Congrats, Chuck.
Awesome work Chuck! I love the story of your Canmore hunt here in Alberta...and am very jealous of your time spent chasing Massive Mule Deer on the amazing property in wmu 108! Congrats! And here’s to another 20 yrs of straight arrows!
Amazing accomplishment!!!
Congrats Chuck and thank you for all the positive you do for bow hunting!!!
Mark
I remember Chuck wrote years ago, that he anticipated continuing to hunt until he was 75. I suspect there are a lot of critters out there that can hardly wait. Maybe they will have a birthday party for him.
Started my bowhunting career 30 years ago with these babies. Still a class act. Congratulations!
