Got settled in @1130am. Thinking there may be some mid-day movement considering last night's heavy rain & solunar tables, moon underfoot @1249pm. Northern Connecticut River Valley area, south wind, 67'f, overcast with patches of sun, pressure rising. Hunting river bottom area with lots of wild grapes producing, micro plot, with other natural greens & 2 red oaks dropping behind me @10yds.
Haven't taken September venison in 5yrs. I got tags to fill, looking to fill some freezer space are my expectations today.

3hrs in, no deer sightings to report. Just about everything but - owl, hawk, fox, coon, squirrels & chipmunks. Wind gets swirly at times. Haven't decided if Im going to stick out the remaining 4hrs til last light or pack it in shortly. Staying in stand for at least one more hour.

Ahhh hell, whats another 100 minutes or so? Dont need a grunt tube, my starving growling stomach is cold calling here & there. Hope to report back with some deer news.
