On a recent trip to wally world, it was raining like crazy. So I took my super expensive Sika rain jacket, forget the model, but it is older. I proceeded to get just soaked and couldn't figure out why. Got back to room and found the inside worn away (see photo). Could this be the cause of the leak? Can it be repaired? Or would I be better to get a new jacket?
Thanks for the help

For the fifth time I will try this. Bowsite mobile is not my friend today

Don’t blame the poster for multiple posts. It’s the antiquated Bowsite platform

That one little spot got you soaked? Anyway they have a lifetime guarantee - just contact customer service they will give you the info. I had a waterproof sitka jacket with a hole (elbow) and a rip, they patched it no charge - free shipping both ways. Jacket was at least 8 years old.

Woodguy,
I was soaked like there was no tomorrow. My wife had a cheap rain jacket and was as dry as could be. I was freezing I will definitely reach out to Sitka. Jacket was so old never thought it would still be under warranty

Hard to see but the “patch” is right above my fingers on my rain jacket.

Looks like we have same jacket - I don't remember name either - they never put names on their garments only thing I dislike. Only Charlie and like one other guy know what the names of all the pants and jackets are - LOL!!

Call Sitka. Get them to fix it or replace it.

I have had one for over 20 years and it still worked fishing in the spring. Contact Sika. Now days if it is raining I hunt from a ground blind so I don't wear a rain jacket and just wear frog togs to the blind over my normal jacket.
