Live from NY its Monday morning. Hi boys and girls. Went shining last night. Saw one last night that Stueben county is famous for. Guessing between 165 to 175” deer. And the best part is he was bedded on the border of our property. I will try for him tonight. Seeya from the stand!

So very interesting afternoon hunt. I was walking a newbie to a stand and while getting them situated i see something coming in my peripheral vision. Son of a bitch its a skunk coming straight at us...., didnt think to climb the ladder stand that was 20 ft away. Run says i. We run.... mr skunk starts chasing us. Those lil buggers can haul ass when they wanna. This SOB chases us 150yds. I tell my hunter to keep running. I stop to fight. Pick up a big branch and throw it at him. Doesn't phase him. On he comes. I pick up a 8 ft long branch and poke him he hisses and snarls. That's it MF i warned ya. On he comes i swing my log bashing him. Still he attacks. I turn escaped lunatic from the asylum and beat him insanely till he no longer moves. He is dead. He sprays in the fight but i am not hit directly.... just in the vicinity of the mist..... Had to be rabies for sure and now i got the willys wondering if i could catch rabbies exposed to the mist.

Would have been hilarious to watch that scene... 2 of us running from a crazed skunk.... I can picture the whole video with the crazy Benny Hill music playing in the back round.
