Another deer died in water

Shot this doe last week on a drive...She died in a lake. It was probably an hour before I yanked her out. Turns out a snapping turtle had its way with her face.

I've had snappers steal whole stringers of fish but never a deer!

Ditto Boreal! Nothing like pulling up a stringer of bluegills only to find 2 left and a big ol' snapper attached to the third!
Went to a fish basket after that.

reminds me of the time i was bass fishing out of an inflatable raft . caught a fish and when i pulled the stringer up to put the fish on it, a 10 inch snapper came in the raft with the fish, apparently he didnt want to let go of his easy lunch! in short order that cheapo walmart raft had way less air in it due to turtle claws flailing about... good times
