I’m glad to see you guys posting. Nice pics. Sure wish our countries were friendly so we could cross back and forth. I see some Canadian plates in the oil fields. Sure be good if you could get some customers up there.
Yes, looking forward for things to get back to normal.
Pictures are not downloading right now.
Glad to here it Chris. Always enjoy your posts and pics. Now lets get that border open between us
Glad you signed up for another year Chris. Hopefully the border gets straightened out soon. Can’t wait to get back up there. Keeps the pics coming.
Here's another Bear still wandering about...

-10 today and snow now should send them to their dens.. Its surprising that bears and Deer still take turns at the same sites. Bucks mostly at night right now. BEARS are everywhere!!
We took a trip to Confusion Lake a week ago with Wilderness Air. Great trip!! Great Fall colour's!!

Rut was during the Full moon with way above normal temperatures...
This guy will have a unique rack in a couple of years...
*** we are into our second week of the hunt. All clients so far from Eastern and Southern Ontario. One of the groups were 12 Pakistani Canadians from Toronto. All were Doe hunting on Crown Land. We have Trophy hunters right now from Timmins and the Kap, hunting our private lands.
I hunted this site earlier in the afternoon... this guys showed up after I left. Was a record breaking 67F on the 8th, next day snow!!
Good luck Chris, hope you guys are able to keep it rolling. Our group needs to get up there sometime, hopefully the border opens sooner rather than later.
Thanks Tyler.... with Canada's out of control Covid numbers, never know when the border will open!!
Great! I have really wanted to make a trip up there.

Spike.....I haven't been following what JT has been doing with the virus lately. Looking at this headline from yesterday, it seems closing the border wasn't the answer to stopping the virus. It reads as you guys (the govt) will be shutting down or reducing the hours of some things in different areas. Looking at the reader comments for each area.....a bit of finger pointing going on by the locals. Hopefully one day the border will open and folks can come up to hunt.
JT blames the provinces. The provinces blame JT. Manitoba is completely shut down as of today. We were able to successfully run a deer hunt the last few weeks with folks who live in what's called "The Hot Spot for Covid". The Toronto area.
They visited local stores etc. and so far no one who visited us or locals came down with the virus.
What pissed me off was Doug Ford told camps in the North west to take domestic tourists.... then says no one should travel in Ontario. So, we almost didn't get a deer hunt but sqeaked through successfully. We still have Domestic tourists this week in camp spending much needed tourist dollars in the area stores. Doug Ford doesn't know what he is doing!!
Beautiful pics of Confusion Lake. We did several fly in fishing trips with Wilderness Air back in the 70s, when Robbie Robinson ran it.

Who says bucks do not eat from baits during daylight hours??
I wish you well Chris. Thanks for posting.
Thanks Greg.... have a Happy Thanksgiving!!
Canadian Lynx.....
Canadian Lynx.....
These cats are a dime a dozen here...
Been working on another plan if there is no spring bear hunt, plan "E"... issue is US will have a vaccine for those who want it starting mid Dec, Canada will not till later months of 2021.
The Lynx come in to the baited sites to catch the squirrels feeding on baits...
Stay safe Chris. Glad your still here. Thanks for the pics and the updates.
Have you tried predator calls for the lynx, Chris?
Are lynx bigger than bobcat? I'd love a full body mount. I don't have a bobcat either but both would be cool.
Troy I have not tried predator calls. Here, only trappers can take a Lynx. Lynx are quite big here because the trappers have a low quota. They live to a ripe old age. They are bigger than Bobcats... Thanks Dave.

Troy. Robbie Robinson still lives next door to Wilderness Air. Still fly's his private float plane. Has a trapline just north of here. Gotta be in his late 70's.
I figured he was pushing 80. He flew us in to Solitary Lake several years. I went for the first time in ‘78 or ‘79. We caught 100’s of northern my first trip up. They were stacked at the mouth of the river/stream, feeding on suckers (I think). It was a literally an “every cast” type of trip!
Do you also have bobcats in your area, or only lynx? Your pics of the cats on November 13th look very similar to a bobcat.
It does have the coloring of a Bobcat. 2nd pic. We don't have many Bobcats here. Troy...
