No, you have not seen it all. There is always one more great idea in the works.

Making a “scare crow” out of your stinky clothes will work as well

From: Jaquomo

The other side of the decoy is all camo. Yep, I've used the scarecrow trick before too.

30-Oct-20
That is so off the wall and hilarious, I bet it would work lol. Is that what Pat looks like?

Almost worth the price just to put it in a buddy's stand to greet him at 5:30AM

I purchased the optional “scent kit” to complete the illusion and it was a total waste of money.... $39 extra for the so called deluxe package and all they mailed me were some tighty whities with a skid mark...

I once made a 1/4" plywood human silhouette to put in a treestand on the backside of my acreage that deer would pick me out in. Did that after hearing about antelope outfitters that would put a mannequin in stands on windmills.

Imagine walking through the woods and seeing one of those, LOL.

I knew a few guys in the 80's here in PA that swore by hanging old flo orange coats or vests in their wooden stands a couple weeks before rifle season started. Whatever floats your boat.

2021 model will feature a rising bow arm and a moving draw arm. That should condition and calm those spooky Ohio deer.

When you put your ladder stand in a tree like that, this product would work, likely mostly on does. I often see other guys stands setup and think, man a guy would need to put a decoy silhouette in there to condition deer to an obvious blob on that trunk. But it is hilarious

I'd rather drop the coin on that than a cut out of myself in the stands of a damn pro sports game!

And I like Glunt's suggestion. I've got a couple buddies that would be funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've seen plywood silhouettes in stands before. My dad used to do it, always made me chuckle.

Blow up sex dolls work well also, I read somewhere.

I had a cousin that hung an old Blaze Orange jacket in his stand.

We joked all the time about it, but he usually killed more deer than most in deep camp.

From: tobywon
30-Oct-20
Ive see it in PA, they used to hang blaze orange in the stand so other hunters from a distance would see it and think someone was already in that spot and hunting the area. Not so much for the deer to get used to anything in the stand.

Remember reading in an outdoor magazine a long time ago about a guy using old clothes to make dummies to put in his treestands. Said his wife called them the replacement dummy.

Tree stand Mannequins wearing blaze are relatively common in some areas.

Pat,

I seem to remember Ted Nugent promoting putting a dummy in your treestand when you're not hunting it about 20 years ago. In fact some years I feel like there is a dummy in every treestand that i sit in.
