Day 3 in Downeast Maine. Warming up so I don’t know if the deer will move this morning. Gonna sit till 9ish, then we are going to head to the opposite side of the island to hunt an Oak grove this afternoon.

Unreal. Can my luck get any worse. Chose to take my bow out again today and try for a doe because we haven’t seen a lot of buck activity. So sitting in my blind, my spypoint cam from my other spot goes off. And it’s a 4pt buck at 15 yds from my stand. Of course I’m not there so....

Chose this spot because we saw a lot of doe activity and I need meat for the freezer. So far, day 2 and no action. Still early but it’s still frustrating. I can never seem to set myself in the right spot.

Well went to. Different part of the island. No stands or blinds over here so I did some still hunting. Didn’t see anything butdid see lots of rubs and some scrapes so that’s encouraging. I came across this beautiful spot to finish the night. I’m sitting on a rock outcropping about 15 ft up. Looking west. Wind is out of the south west.
