And not just any sat morning. Its opening day of rifle season! 2 bucks on trail cam last night but you gotta be able to see em to shoot em. This is a very strange year. As of last night there was no one in the few other camps around here! Although as i lay awake for the last 2 hrs i did hear 3 vehicles drive up the rd.

Though I strictly bow hunt now in NY, there is always something special about opening morning in NY. It was even better when it was on a Monday. As a little kid I can still remember the anticipation of everyone rolling into camp (we had about 20 guys), the red and black woolrich clothes, Remington pumps (760s mostly) , a few auto's, Bo, the owner of the property looked like Elmer Fudd (outfit and face) and used an old Rem 222, crosshairs in the scope were crooked but he didnt care...he never missed. He shot a 350lb bear with it one season. Good luck all.

Deer drive just went by from the neighbors. They shot one of the pesky bears thst are here. We ssw 7 together in the summer including one pushing 600lbs. No hair on his belly from draggin in the ground.!

Haha I hear ya John. If opening Saturday in PA doe season is slow Monday all mental size limits are off. If it’s brown with no horns it’s dead
