Anyone done any testing of arrow velocity when using a drop away, vs a WB? I’m assuming one looses a little speed with the WB.

I’ve heard of it and seems like it was negligible

Gotta be some loss of velocity, but.... So?

My chrono only showed 6-7 fps. I was not a believer until I tried a WB myself last year after all the bickering on here. I was shooting a bullet hole through paper in less than 5 minutes and my groups actually tightened up to 40 yards....which is the furthest I would shoot anyway.

I shoot a WB now.

I have on two of my bows and out to 70 yards there is no difference in point of impact.

My chrono didn't pick up any speed difference with a 485gr arrow, Identical speeds with WB and hamskea trinity pro hunter

Thanks guys, GF, I want looking to start a pissn match, just curious. Tried a new bow at a pro shop two days ago and that’s how it was set up. I’d never used one. Have a great day guys, and appreciate the comments.

I have read it to be 2-3 fps

Thanks PECO.

If I pull an arrow through my WB there is a lot more resistance with blazer vanes as opposed to 3-4” vanes. Prob doesnt slow the arrow down that much at 20 yards but I no longer use blazer vanes after feeling the difference.

1-2 fps on my chrono, and my chrono is super accurate. Speed loss is not an issue w/ the WB.

Thanks again guys. I was just curious. I use drop away rests.

Couldn’t get a WB to tune right? Lmao
