Been several years ago, but we had a really fat buck running around. Not quite THAT big, but when he ran his hide looked like it was rolling.

Gary, I sent you a pm on Stickbow about the picture .I am not sure where the picture came from but I was just as amused by how big he is and clicked on the picture and saved it on my phone and posted it on the post about Barry over there. He sure is Huge and wished I knew where he came from myself . Anyway I always tell my friends If I was a deer this is probably what I would look like lol. Keefers Gary I think we should nick name him “Barry” lol

I seen a big boy like that chasing a doe this year. It was kind of funny, the doe was just springing around and with every lope his fat looked to be rolling. They were really close to a small feed lot for cattle so I'm guessing he was fed very well.

No big deal, but, while that buck (OP's) may be big, IMO that's a picture of a picture and is badly distorted. Sort of a fish-eye lens effect. No idea if that was done on purpose or not, but no buck on earth has a face that squatty. Photoshop has tools to correct images for camera distortion and perspective distortion. Using the correction tool on the whole image until his face & snout look normal, it comes out like this:

Okay you cattle guys, how much do these bucks weigh? My guess, both original photo and Rob's between 3 and 4 hundred pounds... Anybody else?

Reminds me of the overweight black bear pics/vids posted a while back. Kinda feel sorry for them. They need to make some deer and bear Slimfast for those overweight critters.

Great camera angle arlow. Remember that picture a few years ago on the cover of North American whitetail with Don Higgins behind his 200 incher non typical named Smokey. That deer looks every bit of 800 pounds. The head was as big as Don’s upper body

ARLOW - What's the story behind that buck?
We know if it's on the internet it's true...8^)))
Don't know how accurate it is but searching the web found largest whitetail recored by weight was 511 lbs from MN in 1976...
A couple in more in 1980 from WI, 491 and 481 lbs... Also remember one 400+ back in the day from ME...
