K-114 heading for AZ

I have the honor of taking K-114 to Arizona on my archery mule deer hunt. Will be leaving this Sunday in time to arrive and scout for a few days before the January 1 opener. This hunt to Arizona will be much different that the Coues deer hunts I have hunted in the past at elevations around 5,000ft and in scattered hardwoods, oak brush and semi desert.
This time there will be a lot of spotting from high advantage points over looking the semi desert environment, spotting mule deer does/bucks and then make a plan to advance. I will not be easy as I will not have the advantage of having a spotter that can help direct me or signal me if the deer disappear. Solo hunting and getting archery close will be a huge challenge but then K-114 will bring me luck and I have some great Karma on my side.
I can only hope there will be a successful Part 2 to this story but a kill or no kill, K-114 will live on. my best, Paul

I'll be flying back into Phoenix on Wednesday. Buddy down south is seeing some good bucks now, but they're alone still and cruising. He's hunting till the 30th then back to NM for his January hunt. I'll be down there till the 4th. Good luck and travel safe.
