I keep getting pictures of this doe. She looks like she has been dragged through a multiflora rose thicket backwards.

Had a buck looking “rough” but he’s coming out of it. The rut doesn’t end Thanksgiving time like a lot of people will say. Depending on the herd dynamic it can run through late December and into January in the Midwest. If a deer is stressed for 2 1/2 months they will defiantly show it. Heck, 6 weeks changes the look of a deer that is clearly noticeable. Wouldn’t be concerned one bit...

My daughter and I saw this deer on 12/27 and she tried to shoot it for about 15 minutes but it would never prepare a shot. Pretty rough looking.

They can have mange. Demodetic mange is what it’s called. That’s what it looks like to me.
