'morning All,
I hope everyone is healthy and strong in this 2021.
I took a lil get-a-way last week for my first trip of the year.
Doing some high country Yote calling/hunting, snowshoeing, digi-scoping wildlife ect.
Travelled thru Wyoming via Mountain View, Wyo into Utah
Thanks for taking the time to view All

Normally during the winter months a guy can glass up some sheep in the Sheep Creek Bay area of Flaming Gorge.

Stayed at my FAV cabin at Red Canyon Lodge (see link above) not much new snow for being so high up on the mountain though------->
Cabin's are spaced apart real nice for privacy and it's comforting with the C-19 Social Distancing
I've been getting pretty good at this digi-scoping, I'm using my old i-6 phone just for picture reference as I actually use my i-11 for the actual digi-scoping pix
The new spotting scope I use has 3 positions to choose from for what angle works best at the time of use.
I'm pretty content with it------->
As many of ya know, I always put together a Bachelor Gourmet Meal for my trips good eating. Vegan meal except for the Thick Cut Peppered Bacon!
That's it for this morning, more to follow.
Thanks again for taking the time to view All,
Good luck, Robb
To the left is my Coyote Montana Decoy and about 30 yards to the right is my Primos BossDogg

I started with an early AM yote hunt on day 2.
I left right out of the cabin and went below the frozen lake, about 1 mile into the timber, for my first set-up for calling.
I have the twitching tail on the BossDogg black with a white tip
The Montana Decoy looks pretty dang life like......

I finally found a ground blind that I like and is very mobile for my style, of course made by Primos!
See my link above
Very adjustable for any design I needed.
Blends right in with the pines and snow--------->
I sure am enjoying my JP Gladiator
Minus 6 with a Real Feel of -19 one morning using the Canyon Rim trail to get more remote on Day 3.
The heater I use in the lil blind is radiant so there is no sound at all and it works okay
I went to trying these battery powered gloves. Pretty dang happy with them.

That is a funny lookin bow Rob! Kidding :) good luck out there , Always appreciate all your pictures. Never thought of using a decoy on yotes like that and yes it does look very realistic. Let us know how that works out! Stay safe.
No turtle neck pics!? Hope you had fun!
Thanks for sharing, Robb. Good luck on the next setup!
Nice Robb. I know you are a meat eater, what's with the vegan dish?
Y Veg-n-add meats (bacon)?
How’s the ol’ JP? She a goodun er no?
These remote lil towns sure go deep into a guys wallet for fuel

Hey thanks
I've gotten really strict on my diet and intake of food. I'm dead set on staying under 190 during the winter so I don't end up loosing the same lb's every spring!! haha
Plus the GF is in Durango and comes on my trips and she is way slim and trim and is pretty much Vegan but adds some chicken, fish or some of organic my wild game meat to her meals.

The shot opportunities are very Quick and short lived as these high mountain/timber Yotes come in on the sly and with lot's of cover, not like I'm watching them come in across a big sage brush flat or winter wheat field.....
I think the Decoy, and the motion of the call helped hesitate the 2 I did get a quicky shot at 1 each day's set-up.
I went with a Rust color T-neck for her arrival night.........Rufffff! haha
When it's this cold I like to use the window mount for my Digi-scoping.
It's so much faster than getting out and setting up the tripod......
I've had it for years and years
I've had it for years and years
Plus the wildlife do not spook at this Digi--scoping distance
I’m think’n of starting a thread titled “Took 3 shots/2 dead yotes” — but since mine were while archery hunt’n it may not “jive”.
Everything can 'jive' Nick! haha
Please show us a turtleneck pic! Robb, you owe that to us at least.
Robb, what’s your cutoff on temperature for the window mount digi vs the tripod?
I keep getting the dreaded Error message-----
Same... but sans t-neck pix
Well, let's see if everything is working this early AM---------->
It's more about keeping everything nice and steady for the pic quality as the wind can get things slightly shaky on a tripod and thus not so good a pix by Digi-scoping.
I try and do at least one afternoon fly fishing on the Green River.
Little Hole boat launch, not a single person around!
Nothing like having a Private fishing spot
I like to take my AC/DC TV with built in Blu Ray with me as there is to TV service at the cabins and I never have the time to just relax and watch a few movies when I am at home.

That wraps up this first get-a-way of 2021.

PS~~ next trip is down to the Zions Desert Ram unit as I'm switching up my draw appl unit for 2021.
Nice pics Robb, thanks for the entertainment.
Is that the new “Hoochie Mamas Gone Wild” tape in the center, Robb?? ;-)
Lots of history in that area, Indians, robbers, rustlers, miners. Tricia and I camped and fished down stream from the Little Hole last summer. Good times.
Hey Thanks!
No, but I think they used it filming.......t-roy! ha
Paul, I don't know if ya made down to Jarves cabin area but very kool stuff along that route from Little Hole.
Yes, I actually bought that lil blind for turkey hunting and elk hunting as I shoot most times from my knees and it's perfect for that type cover.
Good luck, Robb
