Here we go again, Day Four of the Yard Hopper series. 20 Degrees, no wind, warming to 50 degrees today. Have not been in the field for two days but since then, snow on the ground.

I dial in my single pin sight to 40 yards, pick out one goose and hit the release. Arrow travel looks good, Feathers fly but also did the four geese. A hit but a miss, feathers only.

Maybe tomorrow but at least I had an opportunity. Chase still got a few treats. My best, Paul

Better luck tomorrow. That is why it is called hunting. At least you had some geese come in and Chase got to go out in the snow.

This time of year, "yard Hopper" always my first search.

I wonder if setting out a few pieces of that cheap green carpet spread around close to the 20 yard mark would get them to come a little closer??

Maybe Bob but thanks for the suggestion., All of the snow as melted this afternoon. I guess I could take a spray can of green paint and spread it around. I usually place the farthest decoy at 15 yards, this morn a few were at 20 yards and I also bunched them up. Need to spread them out more in two groups with a closer landing area in-between. I will bring them in closer tomorrow morn. This year the geese have not been using this pasture to feed as the grass is dried up as are the properties adjacent. So any of Yard Hopper that may have fed there in the past, might be attracted in. I am only getting one chance per morning but better than no chances.

Your batting average would still make you millions as a baseball player. Tomorrow is another day. If Chase is like my Annie, the bad thoughts go away on the 2nd treat.

Jerry, my batting average just went down this morn as I ALMOST did every thing right. See YH day 5
