My wife, Cindy, killed a nice cougar on January 25 in Colorado. We booked with Quentin Smith of QRS Outdoors and had a great hunt.

Quentin was my neighbor when we lived in Meeker. My other neighbor was Dan Swartz at Ripple Creek Lodge. Dad killed his lion also with Q, and his Shiras Bull Moose with Dan.

Does Cindy hunt with a hip quiver? I don't see one on the bow. Either way, well done! How far did she have to track the cat?

Yes, a hip quiver. The dogs chased close to mile over a ridge and part way down the other side. Fortunately, the other side of the ridge was parallel to a highway. We could hear the dogs baying 'treed' about a quarter mile up a steep drainage from the highway when we got down there. It went about 150 yards down the drainage after it bailed out of the tree.
