Quite a few geese flying off the lake this morning but none of them acknowledged my decoys as they were heading for greener pastures. The property I am hunting and adjacent properties are very dry without any green grass so the geese are heading where they can find food. I see them in town, around town and on any field, curb-side and natural area that has green grass. Not one local Yard Hopper flew low over the property and I stayed until 10 am. No snow on the ground at all and really none predicted. Will give it a rest for a few days and then try again. Scheduled for my first Covid-19 shot tomorrow. Stay tuned for the next hunt, most likely on Friday.

Still beats me teaching uninterested high schoolers! LOL. Keep at it.

What about taking a few square yards of astroturf to put your decoys on? :)

Geese forfeited the game by not showing. The word is probably making the rounds in the avian world about the deadly archer and his trusted companion. They skeered !

At least it was nice day to be outside.

Glad to see Chase got his snack. Being outside with Chase beats being inside anyday.
