I received my first two pieces of Hunt Worth Clothing today and all I can say is WOW!! Great quality and the camo pattern is awesome. Very comparable to Sitka and Kuiu at a great price. I bought the heavy weight 1/2 zip pullover hoodie and just a beanie hat. Everything is 20 to 50 percent off on their website as well. I will put it to the test this week and see how it does out predator hunting. I don't believe there is much better out there for any price. Shawn

Is the camo quiet? If ya scratch your nails over it....does it make any noise?

02-Feb-21
How is the sizing? Slim fitted or generous? I’m not a fan of digital camo but I like the price point

From: Grunter

I made a post about Huntworth like 2 years ago. They have great stuff and way less priced than the other popular gear. It has much more room as well. Not that tight crap that only skinny guys can wear. I really like my stuff.

From: Chief

As stated in an earlier thread - I have their uninsulated jacket & couldn’t be more pleased. Definitely not slim - fitting so you can layer underneath as needed. The hood is excellent. Huge roomy pockets in all the right places, including an open chest pocket for your range finder, call, etc. Jacket comes down below the waist (I’ll never buy another short coat again) Camo pattern is awesome for treestand hunting; a great combination of browns & whites..........not blue like some others (never could understand that one.......) All & all it does, in my opinion, beat the STRATUS in every category. Everyone I know of that’s purchased something from their line - up has been pleased; overall great feedback.

Fit runs true, the stuff I have is very quiet as well. Really surprised me at the quality and the price cannot be beat. Shawn

Looking at their website, what camo pattern(s) are you guys buying? I hunt primarily in OK where lots of oak trees and cedars so the Hidd'n looks good but so does the Disruption. They do seem to have a good sale on now so figure time to replace some old Mossy Oak clothing.

The majority of Carhartt clothing is not made in the USA. Just like 95% of ALL clothing. I'd love to 100% support American made clothing but it's virtually impossible.

From: midwest

Sitka charges such as they do because people are willing to pay that much. Sitka makes great stuff (using low-priced foreign labor) and has a fantastic marketing presence. That's the recipe for success.

From: Jimmy2time

I have put my Sitka stratus bibs n coat through hell 2019-2020 season. Lots of miles in them, I wore them from 40 down to zero with only a good next to skin n a base layer then my stratus, very flexible, Iv gone they water, countless pricier patches, thick swamps, snow storms, downpours, and have gutted deer in them, washed every time they got nasty, color kept, size stayed true. You get what you pay for. Foreign labor is better then lazy American made stuff.

Jimmy2time, what products did you buy from Hunt Worth and how did they fail you so miserably? Can you be more specific? Honestly would like to know so I can check out more thoroughly before purchasing or looking at another alternative. Scooby-doo is spot on. I guess then it's okay for me to say Sitka sucks too! The material they use is trash. Can't believe you guys would buy into their crap. KUIU? HORRIBLE! Why any of you would even consider doing business with either company shows how ignorant you all are. FWIW - I don't own any Sitka or KUIU and never have but it seems acceptable on Bowsite to bash products and companies with which you've never tried nor had any business dealing with said product or company yet somehow feel compelled to do so anyways. Long live Red Head and Cabela's Mossy Oak and Realtree!!

People will really find anything to B##$$ about on here. Anyone who says huntworth is crap has honestly never been up close. They make quality and for a fair price.

Whoever says sitka is overpriced has never actually probably worn a set and for argument sake If you have. What clothing company takes reviews from their customers and actually fixes their flaws? Do other companies do that heir? Their camo just holds true and is comfortable too. For guys that are skeptical in their quality. Spend some money on a pair of gloves from them and No, they're not just for skinny guys either.

I know a guy who had a dream of creating a line of American made clothing…

Bluejeans. Piece o’ cake, right? Nope. When all of the best US Mills shut down, they sold their looms to Japan.

So he bought the fabric from overseas in order to get the quality that he wanted to be able to offer, and using US-based jobbers to do the sewing (for which many people would accuse him of running a “sweatshop“), he couldn’t produce a pair of jeans AND a profit for under about 150 bucks a pair.

I’d add a link, but he’s out of business.

“ That's where he went wrong Matt, assuming as a business owner he had the right to take a profit. That is not the new American way!”

I know you’re being friendly and I appreciate that, but the fact is... It had nothing to do with him assuming ANYTHING other than that people would be willing to spend as much on MIUSA jeans from a guy they’d never heard of as they would spend on imported stuff with a “designer” label. Wasn’t a business issue, it was a Market issue.

Because guess what? Guys who will drop $150 or more on a pair of jeans won’t pay for quality OR for the principle of the thing; they want be Fashionable. If it doesn’t have the right label, fuhgeddaboddit.....

Sometimes, real quality costs real money; trouble is, people don’t usually spend their money for rational reasons.....

From: Jimmy2time

I know a successful business owner of a company who spends 150-200$ On a single pair of blue jeans.

06-Feb-21
I still love old fashioned wool. Have a few Filson products but do not have the 'cold' during hunting season to wear wool where now live. Where I grew up hunting you hadn't been hunting unless you came back out of the woods with frozen chunks of snow attached to your Ballard Mill wool pants...1950s-60s.

I like the prices and I'm not a camo pattern fanboy. Their patterns seem light enough to work well. What I can't purchase, is something that is chemically treated for scent control? What does that even mean? I am itching just thinking about wearing it. The silver stuff would be OK.

From: Scooby-doo
07-Feb-21
I don't believe the treatment would effect anything. I am sure it has been tested against allergic reactions and such. I really like the Huntworth stuff. I ordered a pair of their pants as well. Shawn

I just bought some XGO and 511 camo. Love the Multi Cam. The China made junk is going in the trash. See ya later Sitka. The funny thing is I paid more for the Sitka than I did Made in USA. If it’s made in China in sweat shops, why does it cost so much? Someone please? I’m not too happy I bought a Browning rifle a while back and find out it’s made in Japan. Anyone want to buy a HCS 7mag?

Again someone who has to do research, yes put together in USA but the fabric is not produced here. I know I will get beat up for this but as of late the Chinese put more pride into their work than a lot of Americans. Have any of you checked out american customer service? Don't you have to be an instagram hunter/ influencer to run Sitka?? :)

I heard from an industry friend who was licensing Treezyn's camo patterns for some products, that Treezyn uses some of the same materials as Sitka in some garments? I'd assume under a different fabric/ material tradename... So, for you guys that don't want to pay Shitka prices, maybe you should check out Treezyn!

This whole made in USA debate is funny. I always thought Archery mfgs would be the 'last man standing' in the outdoor goods space, with 100% USA made bows. Turns out, A LOT of components are made or tooled overseas. This isn't a secret though. I've personally worked with overseas vendors for some major archery brands. The quality of goods coming back is a direct function of whomever the vendor is, what their mfg capabilities are, and however stringent the US based company chooses to be with the vendor.... but of course having good QA, QC and adherence to processes requires $$$$$$$. And ya darn sure better require material certs., or you may just get some floor sweepings for re-grind, or some new alloy you never knew existed!

I don't have a beef with Sitka for the record. I love that they actually follow a continuous improvement ideology and it shows vs. the usual "here's our new product for this new launch year" ....annnnd its lipstick on a pig.

Huntworth at a glance appears to have some great clothing features for the money!

????? - translated for bigdog12 - "I got my order". At least that's what it said on the outside of the box! Have to agree with Shawn - the material seems to be strong, sizes are right to their guide, really like the HIDDN camo pattern and of course the prices was great! Real test will be this spring during turkey season but so far I'm really impressed. With all the weather delays and FedEx/USPS unable to tell me exactly where my package was after 2 weeks, Huntworth offered to send my exact order via FedEx Express instead of Smartpost then have me just return the original order when it arrived! That's some good customer service. Luckily I didn't have to have them spend more money and everything arrived yesterday. Guess we'll all know more in a few months.

From: Bowbender

So we buy:

The best binoculars are made in Austria or Germany.

Our electronics are all made somewhere in Asia. The mobile phone, laptop, desk top, Ipad, routers, smart TV's.

Appliances, offshore or south of the border.

But we insist our hunting clothing is US made.

From: Ok...Russ
26-Feb-21
Bowbender, don't forget our vehicles - a lot/most parts aren't made here. I think Ford says "assembled in USA" or something similar which is very different from "made in USA". Bet most shop at Walmart too and conveniently forgot years ago they changed their Made In the USA slogan. Does seem a bit hypocritical but that's where Bowsite has been for quite a while lately which is unfortunate. Not sure why some folks just aren't okay when someone doesn't follow their lead or support their cause and agree 100%. Sure doesn't sound like a democracy with all the cancel culture being spewed these days. Add trail cameras - just got a replacement from Browning and the side says manufactured and distributed by Prometheus Group, LLC in Birmingham, AL. Look at the bottom of the box and it says "Made in Thailand".

26-Feb-21
I agree. You get a guy that says he buys American made and, you get 500 bowsite’er telling him how ridiculous he is.

It’s not ridiculous. Nor is buying camp made somewhere else.

From: Chief

Folks.......... I, as well as most of my friends & family, are some of the most patriotic people you will find. But, as others have pointed - out.............it’s great to buy American when possible; that being said it is also impossible to buy American ALL the time - those days are sadly gone. This is simply the sad reality of our current state. In short, I operate with the idea of buy American when possible, but also realize it’s not always probable. Sad but true.
