My son found the 6x6 he was looking for. Half anyway. The snow finally melted and antlers seemed to be everywhere today. Post what you are finding this winter/spring.

I saw a number of nice sized bucks w/o antlers in Ohio the last few days of season. I never find much for sheds. I found a shed in January that was on a dam that see human traffic so I know it was fresh and there was already a lot of it eaten. I do not think that most sheds last long in my area. Of course I would probably find more if I looked harder.

Was off to a good start in NY until a few weeks ago when all the snow hit. Found the non typ match set in December, another 7 in January, and another 3 so far this month. This next week I'm gonna hit it hard again before my annual midwest shed trip. Have another big set to find off a deer I was hunting that would be a 4x4 set of a lifetime.

This particular day I found 2 good sheds for a friend. He was hunting the deer with the big brow... he knew the buck with the big brow and the 4pt were together when they each shed a side. Assuming they may have locked antlers and each popped a side off we expected if we found 1 side off either buck, the other bucks antler might be close by. He was right. When I spotted the 4pt side I waited for him to come see it/ pick it up. Had I grabbed it and walked away I may have missed the big one... it was well hidden. Look in the weeds. For ref. that's a 58" 4pt and 77" 6pt side. The buck with the big brows has matching 10.25"+ brows!

Hate to add to the deadhead ones but this buck would've been nice in a couple of years. Where I hunt in East Central OK, a good number of bucks still had both sides as of 2/25. Found one chewed up shed thinking was from last year.

You know Pat I started looking at those pics right after I posted. Then I grabbed the shed here at the house to inspect as I had the same thought.
I'm pretty sure it's just the angle I'm holding the shed, he's the only straight 10 I'd seen or picked up on camera at that property but ya never know. He makes a brief appearance at the other end of the property in this video(link), after season.

Looks to be a different buck to me as well, Kyle. The g3 on the shed seems to sweep forward a bit, whereas the g3 in the buck pic seems to bend a bit to the back towards the top half of the tine. Also, the shed looks to have more mass, IMO.
Any luck finding any signs of “Deep 6” or that monster 8 pointer yet??!

Sito, I also think you have 2 different bucks. Great buck Rob, thanks for sharing.

Public land, SE Oklahoma. Needle in a haystack. First time ever shed hunting this area. Although, I knew there was a large deer in the area because I had cut some very large tracks two days prior. I did some viewing and planning on aerial photos of where I might start. Found them the second day and they were 20 yards from one another. Feel very fortunate.

t-roy it is a case 535 quad pulling an Ag Force 2 bin spreader. Holds about 10.5 ton of fertilizer. Does a 80' swath with two spinners. Be a very spendy food plot tractor/spreader but darn fun to run. You can cover a lot of acres in a day with it. I spread roughly 194 tons of urea and 38-0-0-8 ( urea and AMS ) this spring with it covering 3000 acres.
