I just got back the age on a really old doe i shot year. Based on tooth wear she was at least 6.5 years old but from experience, they are often older than wear indicates in this area. This one was 10.5 years old! Every deer I shoot with my recurve is special but old deer really get me fired up. Especially on public land. She is the lead doe i shot in this video.

Nice job! The old fashioned way too. Those old does can be harder to arrow than old bucks.

Very nice, old does are one of the toughest deer to kill with the bow. .IMO

That’s great. Old school bow and an old doe. Congrats!

Once they pass 2.5, I think the tendency is to underage them. Because most hunters seem to think every buck will look like a stud 4.5 year old Iowa buck if you give him time.

WV- I agree. I’ve shot a lot of pretty mature deer(5.5 or older) that folks thought were young based on rack! This one was 5.5

Nice. We've killed bucks that were aged at 10.5 and 12.5 off our lease. It is special to kill the experienced ones.

Greg, I just got the time to watch the video. Awesome stuff man. I’d seen it before on you tube. But, I love watching things get shot with a trad bow.

Buckeye- thanks. It felt really great to have it all come together like that.
